According to Jerusalem police spokesman Kobi Zarhad, Salah was 'wearing an
explosive belt on his stomach and detonator to his chest,' AFP said. Neither the
belt nor the detonator could be seen in the pictures. According to the initial
version given by the Israeli police, Salah was wearing a large overcoat and
policemen opened fire when he refused to take it off, although the pictures
clearly show that Salah was shot after being stripped of his clothes.
Mohammed Salah was executed in the street without going on trial. His alleged
crime was never proven and no evidence was submitted for any wrongdoing.
